I plan to take more money I have raised to MUSC hospital this week and I will post a photo of my deposit with them. I plan to keep on running and I will post some runs this summer. I got new running shoes and I hope to be doing some new and interesting runs.
My name is Aidan Sabine and I am in the sixth grade at East Cooper Montessori School. For my Peace Project this year I am training for the Cooper River Bridge Run. This will be my fifth 10k!!!
I am doing this to raise money for babies in the NICU at MUSC Children's Hospital and also to make more people want to walk and run and be healthy. If you would like to support my walks and runs, you can help me by clicking the 'Donate' button below or send a check to:

All the money I raise goes to the babies in the hospital. When I was born, I was in the NICU, so I know what it is like to need help.Thank you very much for your help and please follow my walks and runs! This is my 6th year working on this project.

Cooper River Bridge Run 2016!!!
This is the corral where you gather before the bridge run starts according to your estimated finish time, which was under an hour for my family. The bridge run is fun because you get to run over the bridge and see the amount of people running. Over 20,000 people ran this year! I really like the bridge run and I think it's my favorite run event because you just don't get to run with that many people on a normal run day!

neighborhood run
Sometimes we take Winston for a mile run loop in the neighborhood. He has to carry a toy in his mouth when he runs because he bites the lead otherwise. He's good to run with because he gives you a little bit of a boost!!
Beach runs
I like to do beach runs with my Dad and then we usually swim or play after running to cool down. We run 2, 3, or sometimes 4 miles. The sand is quite soft and you get to look out at the ocean.
Palmetto Bluff 10k
We made it to the Palmetto Bluff event! My Dad ran the half marathon and my Mom and I and my brother ran the 10k together. It is in Palmetto Bluff in Bluffton, SC which is a very nice resort on the May River. We got to see a lot of the property because we ran 6.2 miles. This area is a wildlife preserve but there are some private houses too. I really liked this event!
training
This is a training run in a neighborhood next to ours. We do this one frequently because it's 3 miles through a nice neighborhood and it is very quiet.
getting ready
Before a 10k run I have to train and get ready for the upcoming event. This is a 2 or 3 mile run usually. If you do a lot of training runs you can be ready to run 6.2 miles (10k).

Palmetto Bluff 10k and half marathon is coming!
I am training to do my next big run in March with my family. My mom and brother will run the 10k (6.2 miles) with me and my Dad will run the 1/2 marathon at Palmetto Bluff near Hilton Head, SC. This event is on March 6, 2016 and I am really looking forward to it. Below is a picture of the old plantation entrance.
Grandfather mountain trail
Our third hike on our trip was a big 7 mile hike and it is a tough one. It is along the Daniel Boone scout trial and the East side trail toward Grandfather mountain. We love this hike and it is our second year doing it! It was really cold and there were icicles along the way as you can see in the picture. Half way up, we had some hot chocolate in a thermos that my Dad thought to bring. There are steep ladders at the top to get to the summit. There is a sad plane crash site here we always visit.
Mt. Mitchell, NC
This is a great hike at Mt. Mitchell in North Carolina and it was 6 miles and strenuous. It is the highest peak East of the Mississippi! We saw plane wreckage on this hike because just by accident my brother Cole spotted it buried in the mountain.
Blowing Rock, NC
My family went to Blowing Rock North Carolina for the week of the New Year. We did 3 big hikes over that time and this is the first one of the hikes we did. This is called Glen Burney trail and it is in the middle of the town of Blowing Rock. This was a shorter hike with two places for a water fall and it was 4 miles long. This was my second time doing this hike and I would like to come back and do it again!
lots of hiking and running
In November and December I did lots of walks and runs but I don't always have pictures for them. I am planning to take more pictures now and start logging my runs better in the new year of 2016.
Dreher Island walks- October
Over the weekend I went to Dreher Island with my family and a friend. While we were there, we did some walks and we camped overnight.
